CRISPY HONEY GARLIC BEEF
~Makes a Great Grub~
400g Thin Strips of Beef
½ Cup Corn Starch
Oil for deep frying
1 tsp Sesame Seeds
2 tbsp Finely Sliced Spring Onion
1 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Dark Soy Sauce
1 Garlic Clove, finely grated
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tsp Dark Sweet Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Hoisin Sauce
1/3 cup Honey
2 tbsp White Vinegar
Chilli Flakes according to taste
Mix the beef with the marinade ingredients
Heat oil in a saucepan over high heat
Take half the beef strips and toss them with the corn starch
Add the beef strips into the hot oil. Cook for 5 minutes until crispy and golden and repeat the process
Heat a wok over medium-high heat and add the stir-fry sauces
Allow to simmer until the sauce has thickened slightly and then add the chilli flakes
Now add in the crispy beef and stir-fry until the strips are evenly coated and the sauce is thick
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onion and serve hot.
